oh..it has been a while since english posts were last seen here. Being unable to type in simplified chinese which is the only non-eng text the web page supports, i can only say what i want to say in english.All of a sudden i'm a JC2 student.however, i'm still inclined to respond to someone asking for a year1 than for a year2.everything is happening too fast.what i'm happy about is the relaxed lifestyle for us jc2s during the year 1 orientation programme...which will end tomorrow.Since there is nothing much to do these few days, i devoted myself to reading books.So far i've only read 2. Both are by Catherine Lim, the famous singaporean writer. out of the two, i STRONGLY RECOMMEND " The Bondmaid".It is really a marvellous book.The story is heart-wrenching,really sad n touching,felt like this is the best romance book i've ever read. Of course, the book is not all about the relationship between the two main male and female character.
Set in the 1950s, it decribes with powerful details the stark contrast in lifestyles among the rich and poor.It's a book u can't put down after u started reading.i've learnt a few things from this book too...After reading this book, i felt rather down for the subsequent few days.
Even now, there's still a small flicker of sadness lingering inside me. p.s:
After reading what i've written above, i found out that my style of writing is really "weird" and some parts are hilarious.
